MEXICO AND CANADA SITE SELECTION EXPERTISE

For over 20 years, JBA has assisted Canadian companies looking for US locations as well as US companies locating facilities in Canada. He has worked in almost every province and understands the laws and the nuances of working in Canada and handling rules, regulations and programs. Throughout the years, Allston has conducted studies in Kenora, Ft. Frances, Thunder Bay, Nova Scotia, Halifax, Toronto. He has conducted workshops in a multitude of Canadian communities, especially in Northern Ontario. In 2000, the Northern Ontario Development and Mines hired Allston to conduct six workshops on site selection and targeting in five days. In 2007, the same organization asked JBA to repeat his seminar with provincial economic development officials.

In the past JBA worked extensively in the Atlantic Provinces with Deane Foote and gave the Halifax Partnership several cost comparison reports that eventually led the locations of back office/information technology companies into the province. Currently JBA has been working with Western Canadian in efforts for them to enter the US marketplace and share technologies with American companies.

Within the last few years JBA has extended itself into Mexico. JBA affiliate, The Kinnett Consulting Group chairs the Mexico Basic Economic Development Course which has run classes within Mexican economic development in Mexicali, Vera Cruz and Tijuana. Together, Kinnett Consulting and JBA completed a targeting and labor study in Saltillo, Mexico in the province of Coahuila. The studies have develop a marketing plan and program in which Kinnett and JBA introduced the Saltillo economic development officials to over 25 companies in the Midwest over a week period of meetings.

In addition, GPI, along with JBA, can address the very tedious job of assessing and hiring workforce in Mexico.

Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM):
GPI has worked for PNM in various capacities including conducting background research on potential Mexican joint venture partners; and providing the corporation with market entry counseling for its efforts in Mexico.

SEBRAE:
SEBRAE, the Brazilian furniture manufacturer's association, contracted GPI to do marketing studies for its wicker and rattan furniture in various regions of the U.S. In this extensive project, GPI created a series of reports, published in Brazilian Portuguese, which were used by the association to start exporting newly developed products to the U.S.

Disperse Technologies:
This New Jersey-based company contracted GPI to investigate the possibility of manufacturing its health and skincare products in Mexico. GPI also gathered and provided to Disperse specific products standards from the Mexican Ministry of Health.

Verde Realty Group:
Verde, on of the largest development firms on the U.S.-Mexico border, contracted GPI to: create a marketing plan for its marketing mix; provide and analysis on its manufacturing target market; conduct research on Mexican prospects; and to write up the concept of a "binational campus," which is a manufacturing center straddling both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border.

World Wide Press:
WPP of Tokyo Japan hired GPI as its advance agency to provided contracts and support services for the publication of Mono Magazines' Native American special edition. The Spirit of the Indian merchandise catalog, which were both published in Japan. GPI created and arranged all of the Contacts for WPP's interviews and photo shoots during a 2-week period in the southwestern U.S.

Pica & Olson:
P&O, an Albuquerque-based legal firm, has used GPI as an expert witness in cases involving business and marketing plans. GPI has testified under oath on behalf of P&O's clients involved in legal matters.
